TL; DR: The developers waved to Fallout, they wanted to "improve" it, but were too carried away. As a result, many things are insofar as it, something is screwed on the side, something simply does not work.
I would not say that the game is bad. She definitely deserves attention. But about everything in order.
How (not) to construct a build
There were many tasks before the game, one of which is to make the distribution of character’s characteristics at the beginning of the game clear. Simple and understandable. In RPG. Which is equal to Fallout. For example, I chose mechanics with an emphasis on heavy weapons. As a result, my Persian turned out to be stupid and with zero charisma, and for the use of the coolest attacks, even by the end of the game I did not have enough stroke glasses (I had 9, and one of the attacks needed 13).
There are still typical perks that bewitch some characteristics/abilities of the character.
As the idea of an idea with skills is impressive. But, as Yun said, there are failures in implementation.
We are all under the cap
Rather, under the dome. But not the point. Scientists dug up a dome, which built a civilization that surpasses us.
And we, as part of other people with low intelligence, go down there on an expedition. Why with low intellect? Well, because you can’t leave the dome. The game does not explain why someone at all to take a one-way ticket. What happens in the world that so many scientists and the highest minds agree to such?
In the game, in principle, many things are not explained. Including, and why our GG was called altogether. There, at the very beginning, they say that we were in a several to hundred and thousandth place in the waiting line. But further during the game they will not say why they chose us. More precisely, there will be a hint there, they say, "Perhaps because of psi-capacity".
And not that everything had to be explained. In the same Fallout 2, we had peace after the war, was elected, there was a village that sent us to find a thing to save the inhabitants. There were no special deep explanations, but this did not cause any dissonance. There were attempts in Enced, but not the most successful.
Survival, but not exactly
Yes, the game has survival mechanics – you need to quench thirst, hunger and rest. But the worst thing is not this, but the fact that fatigue tried to link with gameplay. You open the castle by force? You get tired. You use the Anyka-buttock? You get tired. Use shortkat? You get tired. And t. D.
The greater the fatigue, the higher the penalty for the characteristics. And when the maximum reaches, you just fall off and you can die.
I’m not joking about death. Here, for example, the hero died after he used power to open a chest. He died of fatigue.
For a vacation you need a bed or energy. The developers wanted to somehow organically fit the mechanics of fatigue in the gameplay. The idea is good, but in the course of the game it only annoyed.
With food and water at least simpler, there it will be possible to open a passive there later, which removes the need for food/water.
At first, you vacuum all the corners and quickly rest on the fact that the inventory is overflow. There is a lot of garbage, but you keep it in the hope that someday for craft/quest will come in handy. You can’t sort on weight. As a result, it is even difficult to determine what exactly is eating all the place of inventory.
Kraft is a separate song. In SpinLand casino fact, only craft of cartridges will come in handy. It makes no sense to craft food. Crane grenades too, t. To. After the middle of the game (when you can do this), Demag from them will be completely penny.
Weapons have levels. You can periodically sell them from merchants and buy more powerful versions. Or you can improve them yourself. But there is a nuance … After 15 hours of the game, I never found the ingredients to strengthen at least one heavy gun.
More strange mechanics and features
In the game, anomalies that cause damage will be periodically found in the game. They can be temporarily turned off (for a few seconds), throwing a bolt in them (not your own). But sometimes they manage to turn on when you run over them or if in an anomaly there is a chest that you are trying to open. Perhaps you will use these bolts at the beginning, but in the end there is no sense in this, t. To. Damage is not in percentage, and you will have more than a thousand hp, it’s easier to just run and get a little damage.
At the beginning of the game, they will give a scanner to which it will be possible to scan objects and corpses. In fact, a scanner is needed only to give you glasses after scan, which you can then exchange for medical objects. Well, sometimes in the inserts a la space rangers to use.
And the game also likes to digest xcom.
And this despite the fact that I have specialization in heavy weapons. But the most terrible thing is not these misses, but the fact that you will constantly do not have enough cartridges in the course of the game. I bought cartridges from everyone in a row, I crawled them, but still they constantly lacked. Well, at least the Persian part -time was a psionic, on the use of abyles of which the cartridges do not need cartridges. Otherwise, I would simply not have passed some sections.
The pumping is that you spend points after receiving the level on some skills. Every 30 points spent in the ability give new active/passive bonuses. In the case of weapons, these are new types of attacks. For heavy weapons, for example, this is shooting with a burst, a fan shot, etc. D.
Against the background of Fallout this is a pretty good solution. But even by the end of the game, I could not use the coolest abyl on heavy weapons, t. To. stupidly lacked the glasses (I had 9, but I needed 13). And this is at the same time that I chose a character who specializes in heavy weapons.
There is a drawdown with a balance. At the beginning, it’s hard to cope even with a group of cockroaches, but in the end you take out absolutely any enemy behind the line.
Variability
Which I hardly noticed. There is sometimes a choice, but I did not meet some global forks. Perhaps when choosing other branches in dialogs, something really changes.
But for some reason it seems to me that it will be the same as in most of the current games-just another phrase that does not affect the course of the quest.
There was variability at the level to kill or resolve in dialogue. T. e. It is some large fork, depending on the choice, there is no. Plus, in some quests, where the possibility of various passages (quest, where you need to help rob the warehouse) is right, I did not find other options except how to help them. Perhaps I was not looking for poorly, I don’t know.
The game has even power armor (something like), but I received it only after passing 90% of the game. She is very strange. It is impossible, for example, to climb the stairs. You have to crawl out of it. And yes, armor is not as an item in an inventory, but a separate item of the interior.
Empty world under the dome
Large locations, in fact, only 3 (others have not appeared in my 2 act, maybe a bug). Otherwise, there are all sorts of little things on quests or simply not related to the rest of the world of location or random meetings.

The game even has a reputation for fractions. Your actions will influence it. But I never found practical application. I pumped up to 100 in the picnic, nothing has changed much. Perhaps affects prices among merchants? I don’t know, by that time you will no longer have a shortage of currency.
Bugs and Glichy
Quite a few. They all, for the most part, do not break anything, but constantly annoy. For example, sounds remain after the murder of enemies.
Sounds constantly overlap each other.
If the character runs or performs an action, then when trying to control the card, the pointer may get stuck.
A random meeting on the lake is repeated right in the same Lock. There is only the same open chest in the lake. For the fiftieth time it was very much annoying already.
There was a large bug that blocked me the opportunity to pass the game until the end. When trying to go to the Council building, the game was hanged tightly. Developers said, they said that they would correct in the next build.
What in the end
You can’t get through the game yet, since in the pre -high build not all content is available.
Given the size, teams and what is currently in the game, I, as a developer, would have put a huge plus for guys. But players will not reason with such categories. And if you look at articles about the game for 2018 now, it becomes clear how much, apparently, they cut it out or did not finish.
A lot of potentially entertaining solutions and mechanic. But in the end, in an attempt to screw them all many of them were not sufficiently finished. Perhaps it was worth a part of the mechanic to throw in the early stages and leave only those that give the best and more interesting game experience.
I can’t call the game bad, I just had much big hopes for it. Often when writing reviews on games, I highlight disadvantages, t. To. They are more striking and important, but this does not mean that the game has no advantages. When making a purchase decision, make them in mind.
If you look at the situation from the point of view that there are not many games in this genre + the price is small, then ENCASED will still brighten up you several evenings. The game has many shortcomings and minuses, but in general I got pleasure from passing. I had no desire to throw it, and this is the main thing. The only question is whether you can specifically put up with these disadvantages.
The game passes in 20 hours, maybe it should give her a chance. TOP for your money?

That I didn’t like it
The world is empty. A bunch of incoherent small locations that, well, just eat. They are generally in no way connected with the rest of the world. That they are, that they are not.
